謝嘉亨的陶藝創作力求突破傳統的形體，並不斷地嘗試、挑戰陶土邊緣的翻折與延展特質：這樣的創作熱情啟發了空間創作思考，順應著空間邊界的發展，並游移在實體與虛空之間，因而建構出空間的「表層」系統，同時承擔起烘托「物象」的任務，空間與陶藝之間的對話就此展開。

Hsieh. Chia-Heng is striving to break through the traditional form of pottery and constantly trying to challenge the technique of clay folding and space boundary extension. Such inspiring passion for creation promotes the thinking of the space. As space boundary is developed and moving between tangible and intangible entity, a surface system of the space, as a result, is not only constructed, but also plays a supporting role to the artworks. A dialogue between the space and the pottery, thus, is unfolding.

展陳空間的面寬僅有三至四米，室內25坪的狹長空間，空間尺度其實沒有想像中的充裕，尤其空間呈現窄小而線性的狀態，如何展開空間並製造出延伸的效果，讓參訪者能停下觀賞，就成為初步設計的切入點。然而解決容易產生單調的空間條件，必須透過整體空間邊界的再造與突破，因而建構出空間的「表層」系統，以延續性折板的延伸，創造出環繞空間的視覺經驗，讓參訪者能專注地觀賞每件獨立的作品的同時，空間就在未被察覺下悄悄地延伸與擴展開來。

展陳空間的圍塑是提供參訪者在其中遊走與駐足，好好地觀賞工藝家創作的場所，透過整體空間的環繞與延續性的延伸，引導參訪者的動線，入口處展台從地面緩緩升起延伸入內，揭開了陶藝展示的序幕，空間中白色系延續性結合展台明示了各個作品的位置，從天花板延伸轉折成為展台，成為最後的空間端景，讓空間產生戲劇性的變化並成為視覺焦點。藉由空間情境的塑造，創造了參訪者對空間與工藝共存的整體經驗，讓空間延續的同時也展現出亮眼的工藝。
